PFPA Advising Board of Directors Board - These members are all film industry professionals with many years experience who act as consultants and supporters of the main PFPA board members.
Joan Bressler, Director of Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers – Bressler joined the Philly Film Office staff in 1992 after working on several productions and film projects. Over the years, her responsibilities have included tracking economic impact, organizing and executing the very successful jobs hotline, managing the Fiscal Sponsorship program, recruiting, interviewing and hiring of interns and representing the Film Office on career panels and other public venues. She also worked to develop and facilitate the many events and programs sponsored by the Film Office in the last sixteen years.
Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment (New York) Founder of the oldest independent film studio with over 35 years of film production, theatrical screenings and distribution experience worldwide. Kaufman is also the chairman of the Independent Film and Television Alliance, the trade association of independent producers and distributors of motion picture and television programming worldwide.
Mitch Davis – Programmer of the Fantasia Film Festival(Montreal) The creme de la creme of "genre" movie showcases in North America (now in its 13th year) annually screens the finest selections of horror, sci fi, action and cult movies from around the world.
Bernard Neary – Owner and Programmer of the Roxy Theater (Philadelphia) – The only truly independently owned 35mm theater in Philadelphia. The Roxy is in the center of downtown Philadelphia and literally the only place with 35mm capabilities still willing to take a chance and screen local independent films when they can.
